Things to Do on a Rainy Day in Key West

Key West boasts more than 330 days of sunshine per year. If you happen to be visiting during one of our rare bad weather days, don’t fret.

We have a saying: “If you don’t like the weather, wait half an hour.” On a rare occasion that it lasts longer, we have some rainy day ideas for you.

Museums and Tours

Key West has many museums to choose from, including the Key West Shipwreck Treasure Museum, Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, Truman Little White House, The Mel Fisher Maritime Museum and Customs House Museum. Learn about Key West’s fascinating past as a wrecking community or about our famous residents like Ernest Hemingway and President Truman.

Still Get on the Water!

Bad weather be damned 🙂 Most jet ski tours run no matter what the weather. Or try a sunset cruise, book a Key West sunset dinner cruise or Key West Sunset sail, both with open bars.
