Pontoon boat rentals are a top choice for larger groups, offering unbeatable stability, spacious seating, and easy handling – even for first-time boaters. Perfect for families, birthday celebrations, or laid-back sandbar days, pontoons provide a smooth, relaxing ride around Key West’s calm, crystal-clear waters. With plenty of deck space for coolers, gear, and lounging, they’re the go-to option for comfort and fun on the water.

Boat Rental FAQs

Yes! Rentals and charters include coolers. You’re free to bring your own (including alcohol), just skip the glass containers. Remember, boat drivers must stay sober – drinking and boating don’t mix

We’ll let you know what’s included with your specific trip.

Key West Pontoon boats are popular for sandbar trips – spacious, shaded, and great for groups. Deck boats are a close second if you want a bit more speed, with space. For fishing or speed, a center console rental might be a better fit. Check out our boat rental guide to compare options and find the best fit for your plans.

Want a captain? Our sandbar charters let you relax while we handle the details.

You must have prior experience operating an outboard motorboat to rent a boat in Key West. Key West waters can change quickly, so safety is key. If you’re new to boating or just want to relax, we recommend one of our private sandbar charters with a licensed captain. You’ll get the same amazing experience without the stress of driving.

We offer half-day (4-hour), full-day (8-hour), and multi-day rentals. Some boats can be rented overnight or weekly – check out our multi-day rentals page or contact us to confirm availability.

Fuel is not included. You’ll only be charged for the fuel you use, based on local fuel dock prices at the marina when you return. Most guests use less fuel than they expect, especially when cruising to nearby sandbars.
